February 10th 2024 Stated Meeting Minutes

The February 10th 2024 stated meeting of Texas Lodge no. 46 Free & Accepted Masons of California was opened upon the 751th page of our Bible in the book of Psalms, on the first degree of Masonry in San Juan Bautista California, for the transaction of business.

This Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons opened at 10:10AM with Worshipful Brother Raymond E. Hill IV PM in the East, Worshipful Brother Kevin Herrick PM in the West, Jack Swallow in the South.

Other officers, members, and visitors present are recorded in the Tiler’s register. Treasurer John Densem, Secretary Loren McKechnie, Chaplain Reb Monaco PM, Sr. Deacon Brian Vanderpool, Jr. Deacon Robert Wilson PM, Tyler Jessie JD Deimas

The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by the master, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

VISITORS

Worshipful Mark Angel of Carmel Lodge No.680 visited the Lodge for the first time, and received a greeting and coffee cup from the Worshipful Master.


 

READING OF THE MINUTES

REPORTS

The Treasurer offered the following brief update.

Lodge started the month with a checking account balance of $33,800 and ended the month with $36,300.

$29,300 being allocated to the “building restoration fund”

$6,800 begin allocated for the Lodge operating budget, for the calendar year.

BILLS & PAYMENTS

The proceeds of the Breakfast Fundraiser today were $204, with the food being donated by Brian Vanderpool who has graciously begun assisting Scott Sorensen in the Kitchen.

NEW BUSINESS


COMMUNICATIONS

Grand lodge reiterated that there is room at the Masonic Home for not only Freemasons, and Widows, but they are now accepting Relatives. Feel free to explore more, if you have a family member who might avail themselves of the amazing services offered by the Masonic Homes.

Sunshine Report:

Worshipful Brother Hans Straub was not able to make the trip down to see us today, he was ill with Bronchitis, and would appreciate a call.

Worshipful Tony Averill is doing a bit better, having been in and out of the hospital a few times recently. He has been in surgery a few times, and has a few more to go. He and Dolores would love to hear from you.
