The Stated Meeting of October, was held on the 2nd day of the Month, by special dispensation, due to the Grand Lodge Annual Communication of 2021. Details of which will be addressed below. Lodge was opened on the First Degree, at 10:11AM and The Master lead the brethren in the pledge of allegiance to the flag, of our great nation.
Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes:
The minutes of the September 11th Stated Meeting, were approved as amended noting that the previous “meeting” for the presentation of the Hiram Award was not a “special tiled meeting”. No other errors or omissions noted.
Bills:
No bills were received, presented or paid.
New Business:
The brethren were presented with a communication regarding the fund raising for Demolay. The brethren voted to donate $150, for the young men who prove to be future masons.
Worshipful David Driesbach will attend the Grand Lodge communication on behalf of Texas Lodge no.46. He will collect our PM ballots and vote.
The Grand Lodge sent us a notification that Dues will increase, and without increasing our Lodge portion of dues, the new Texas Lodge dues will be $107.50 It is noted that we have opted for Grand Lodge to send and collect dues on our behalf, at no cost to us. They now add on a service fee for using a credit card online, rather than deducing the funds transferred to our Lodge.
A blue envelope was found in the Treasurers desk, it contained $168.00 cash. The origin of the funds is unknown, but it is likely from breakfast donations.
Applications:
There are two applications, one for Mr. William Headley of Salinas, and another for James Caldwell of Paradise Park Santa Cruz. Both applications are in the process of being investigated by the Grand Lodge. Upon approval of the background checks, the Master will appoint investigation committees.
Respectfully Submitted,
Secretary Loren George McKechnie Date: 10/19/2021
Worshipful Master Jeff Strouse Date: 10/19/2021
