The Stated Meeting for the Month of October was held on the 12th day, 5019 A. L.
A hearty breakfast was serviced as usual, but with a special treat of fresh-hand-squeezed lemonade, from the tree of the Worshipful Masters home. Charles “Chuck Wagon:” Baylacq was off duty, with WM Raymond Hill’s wife Ramona leading the charge as usual. She was assisted by two of our new entered apprentices, brother Brent Burgess, and Garrett Wright. It was great to see these newer brothers, in the lodge kitchen, hard at work.
The wood of eternal life.
Worshipful Skip Bates P.M. of Texas Lodge created a very special and unique clock, which he gifted to the current Master of the Lodge. The clock was fashioned out of a “round o’ an Acacia tree”, cut about 5 years ago from the grounds surrounding Texas Lodge. The seal past Grand Master William “Bill” Bray who also happens to be a member of San Benito Lodge 211, marks the 12’O clock position.
Upcoming Events:
Brother Tim May P.M. of Martinez Lodge #41, has graciously extended an invitation to all Master Masons of Texas Lodge, to his lodge up North. The event is the raising of the brother Tony Mazy to the 3rd degree on Saturday, November 2nd at starting at 10 AM. Our Master has expressed his interest in brothers of our lodge traveling by iron horse, (motorcycle) to the festivities.
Other Business:
A lengthy overview of resolutions being considered at the 170th Annual Communication was lead by our Secretary Kevin Herrick P.M, with much debate and discussion. The opinions of lodge brethren were sought, in order that the Master and his representatives might accurately express the will of the brethren of Texas Lodge No.46, in the ballot being held at the communication.
For those unfamiliar with the Annual Communication held in San Francisco, the agenda is below.
